Why I Love Wednesdays.. My Fav Character

Reflections of a Bookaholic

Reflections of a Bookaholic is returning with Why I Love Wednesdays. Personally I love Wednesday because it is WINESday, but Alexis deemed today's proclamation of love concerns our Favorite Character.

Alexis!?! Really, REALLY!? How in the heck am I supposed to pick my favorite character? That’s like picking between the children I don’t have! Man your killing me Smalls!

So, I guess this is going to be how I play it. Word association.

Who is the first female character that comes to mind when I think hmm my favorite female character is…

Mariketa the Awaited (Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night - Kresley Cole):

So why did my word association pick Mariketa out of all the kick ass females that I have read, and I have read plenty.  Well, she is a witch and we all know how much I do adore my witches, but not only is she a witch she is a hella powerful witch, but she struggled with her power in the beginning. So she does not take for granted the power she holds within. Plus she is wicked funny, knows the value of GNO (Girls Night Out), stands up to her very over bearing alpha lykae male, is extremely loyal to her friends, and bends the rules to do the right thing, plus she’s on the curvy side and loves it. So many heroines are self-conscious about it, but she OWNS it!

Word Association My favorite Male:

Zsadist (Lover Awakened – J.R. Ward):

This one wasn’t actually that hard and I would imagine he tops a lot of lists. He is just one of the most memorable characters I have ever had the pleasure of reading about. A former blood and…. Slave, he bears the physical and emotional scars. He doesn’t let anyone close including his twin brother, that is until Bella, who manages to get closer to him than anyone ever has before. The journey that you go on with Zsadist will tear at your heart.

  1. Haha! (*evil cackle*)

I think Mariketa sounds awesome and this is a character I want to get to know. I still need to get to Zsadist's book. I've only read the first book in the series but I could tell he had potential from that one.
