Review: Fighting for Irish by Gina L. Maxwell

Fighting for Irish - Aiden "Irish" O'Brien and Kat MacGregor

(Fighting for Love #3)

Fighting for Irish by Gina L. Maxwell

Summary:
From goodreads.com
He'll fight for her life. She'll fight for his love.

Kat MacGregor has forty-eight hours to make good on the debt her ex-boyfriend owes a crime boss. Unfortunately, the measly tips she makes waitressing are barely enough for her to live on, much less cover the twenty-thousand needed to keep her breathing. With time running out, Kat 's forced to accept help from the only man who's ever made her feel fire rather than fear.

When he learns a friend's sister is in trouble, former Boston MMA fighter Aiden "Irish" O'Brien heads to Louisiana to offer himself up as collateral to keep her safe. But to satisfy the debt, he has to do the one thing he swore he’d never do again: fight. With more than just money on the line, will Irish have what it takes to not only reclaim the man he once was, but become the man he needs to be for the woman he can't live without?

Review:
A tale of redemption and love. Katy has had a rough childhood and made some bad decision mainly traveling with her ex-boyfriend, he puts her name and her life on the line and she has to make due on it. Aiden crossed a line several years ago and has vowed never to fight again. Now Katy’s life is on the line and he’ll have to do the one thing he swore he never would. He’ll have to face old fears and make a wrong right.

Even tho this book is fairly short, about 250 pages I think, it packs a whole lot in. I mean you really feel for these two characters and Maxwell has a way of pulling out a character in a very short span of time. I’ve read full length novels that didn’t have has much depth to them, but these two I felt were fully fleshed out as was the story line. You get a lot of story, with lots of action and emotion. I was pretty darned impressed with this one. It’s the third book in the series but I actually read it first, not sure why considering I had the first book. Maybe it was the cover, I mean look at it.. Hot! My only complaint about this book is I thought Aiden was actually going to be Irish with the accent and everything.. Sadly that wasn’t the case but if I remember correctly, he does have a Boston accent which is almost as good. I hope you enjoy as much as I did. This is a great series.
