Review: Molly Harper - Nice Girls Don’t Have Fangs

Jane Jameson Series:
Book 1:
Nice Girls Don’t Have Fangs: Jane Jameson
Summary:
Jane is having the worst day! Not only was she fired from her job as a local librarian her “severance package” was a gift certificate to a local bar/restaurant in just the right amount to get herself nice and loaded. When a handsome man sits down by her at the bar her night is suddenly looking a bit better. Unfortunately that luck does not hold, on her drive home her car “Bertha” dies alongside the road and some redneck hick mistakes her for a dear and shoots her, as she is lying in a ditch dying, Gabriel the hottie from the bar is there and asking her if she wants to live. Of course she wants to live, like she would want to die such an undignified death. Mistaken as a deer can you believe that?!? When Jane next awakes she is in a strange bed, in a strange house, with the man from the bar, and that’s not all she’s all of the sudden craving blood! The man turned her into a vampire! Now Jane has to navigate the world of vampires, fight her attraction to her sire, and somehow keep this transformation from her mother. (I mean really how you have that talk with your overbearing mother, Hi mom, I’m a vampire now!) Um, yeah I don’t think so. And now somehow Jane found herself smack dab in the middle of a murder investigation and she is the prime suspect. Could things get any worse?
Review:
Just an FYI I am going to use the same review for all three books so far, because I have the same thing to say about all three and that is that I freak’n love this series! Molly Harper has the exact right amount of sarcasm and snarky comments in her writing. There is a fine line between too much and not enough and Molly Harper has figured out that perfect amount. This series is really funny there are parts that I laugh so hard I cry. All of the characters have their own personalities and really come alive on the pages. They are all quirky, funny and real. I highly recommend this series to anyone that loves to laugh! I whipped through all three books in a couple of days I loved them so much. I can’t wait to read more of Molly Harper.
Just a note for this book specifically; there is this one scene with unicorns that had me laughing so hard! It was so funny, random and I could picture the scene in my head perfectly. If you read this book and you get to this part, you’ll know what I’m talking about!
