Review: Bound by Night by Larissa Ione

Bound by Night: Riker and Nicole Martin

(MoonBound Clan Vampires #1)

Bound by Night (MoonBound Clan Vampire, #1)

Bound by Night on Amazon

Summary:
From Goodreads.com
A WOMAN OUT FOR BLOOD

Nicole Martin was only eight years old when the vampire slaves rose up in rebellion and killed her family. Now she devotes her life to finding a vaccine against vampirism, hoping to wipe out her memories—along with every bloodsucker on the planet. But there’s one thing she cannot destroy: her searing, undeniable attraction for the one man she should hate and fear the most . . .

A VAMPIRE OUT FOR REVENGE

A member of the renegade vampire MoonBound Clan, Riker is haunted by demons of his own. When he recognizes Nicole and remembers how her family enslaved his loved ones, his heart burns for vengeance. But when he kidnaps Nicole and holds her in a secret lair, his mortal enemy becomes his soul obsession, his greatest temptation, and, perhaps, his only salvation—a hot-blooded lover who could heal him with her touch . . . or bury him forever.

Review:
Bound by Night by Larissa Ione is the first in a brand new series featuring vampires. This book was a good opening to this series, we get a crash course into this world where the humans have taken vampires as slaves and few vampires live in clans as free vampires. The worst of the humans to the vampires are the Martin family. With their company they have killed and oppressed more vampires than any other. Now on the brink of war with a neighboring clan the MoonBound clan needs an insider and Nicole will have to do. Riker kidnaps Nicole, so that she could release their vampire who had been taken by her company.

The story and the world are interesting. The vampire clan’s origins begin in Native American history which adds an interesting twist to vampires as a genre. We get bits of legend and lore with how Vampires came to exist and this is definitely a new version on the origins of vampires and I got to say I like it. It brings an interesting element into the mix. All of the characters are interesting and I quite enjoyed all of them. As individual characters I liked both Riker and Nicole. Riker is a hard headed alpha male; he holds a lot of guilt in how his mate died 20 years ago. For 20 years he’s been holding onto his guilt and lusting for revenge against anything Martin. He’s in turns angry and sexy, all brooding, but in turns sweet. Nicole is pretty feisty, she’s intelligent, she makes her own decisions and she knows that things are not adding up in her world and she wants answers as much as she wants to get that vampire back. Each character is flawed in a good way. They are likeable and go through their own personal journeys.

As a couple, for most of the book I wasn’t really buying the romance. I don’t know what was missing, I really don’t, but for about 75% of the book I wasn’t really feeling the love between these two. I felt the attraction, which was obvious and real, but deeper than that I wasn’t feeling it. It wasn’t until pretty much the end that it felt like there was some real love going on and not just lust. While I wasn’t necessarily feeling the love, I was feeling the story. It was interesting and action packed a lot goes on and keeps everything moving fast paced. We get a loaded ending that promises to be a doozy and really sets up the next book, which I have to admit I am already looking forward to it.

Early Review: Base Instincts by Larissa Ione

Base Instincts by Larissa Ione

(Demonica, #11.7)

Base Instincts (Demonica, #11.7) (Lords of Deliverance, #6.7)

Summary:
From Goodreads.com

As a Seminus demon, Raze’s life literally depends on having sex with females. The problem is that he doesn’t desire females, and it’s physically impossible for him to be with males. Thankfully, he and his best friend, Fayle, have an arrangement that keeps him alive . . . if lonely. He finds some solace in his work as a medic at Thirst, a vampire club known for its rough clientele. But his carefully structured world turns upside down when he meets a mysterious male who makes him want what he can never have.

Slake is an assassin used to getting what he wants, and what he wants is Raze. But he also wants to earn back the soul he sold when he was a much different demon. All he has to do is capture a runaway succubus named Fayle and hand her over to her family. What he doesn’t count on is being caught himself by a web of lies—and his attraction to Raze.

Raze and Slake must navigate a dangerous world to be together. But as Fayle’s jealousy of their relationship turns deadly, they find themselves embroiled in a battle not only for their love, but their lives and souls.

Review:
I quite enjoyed this book. Im no M/M expert and I only really read it when I'm in the mood for something different but I love everything Larissa Ione writes and I'm definitely a fan girl of the demonica world, so when I saw this one I decided to give it a whirl.

It's a quick read maybe 150 pages and I got through it in one night. Slake and Raze are both anomalies for their species. Raze as a Sem demon can only ejaculate with women and gay men in Slake's species is unheard of. These two find each other in less than ideal circumstances. Slake is tracking Raze's roommate and partner for not just his job but for his soul as well. Falling for Raze is not in the cards but his desire is real and can't be denied.

It's interesting to see how these two play out. It should work, it should be impossible but in this world we've learned that nothing is impossible and what you think to be true is not always the truth. Both Slake and Raze learn this lesson in the book. I really enjoyed the characters, the emotion and the story. Ione always delivers and this is no exception. If Ione decides to write another M/M novel I'll snap that one up too.

Review: Revenant by Larissa Ione

RevenantBlaspheme and Revenant

(Lords of Deliverance #6)

Revenant (Lords of Deliverance, #6; Demonica, #11)

Summary:
From Goodreads.com

HELL HATH NO FURY . . .

For five thousand years, Revenant believed he was alone in the world, a fallen angel beyond any redemption. Now he finds he has a twin brother who had all the light and love Revenant was denied. Caught in a tug of war between Heaven and Hell, he must weigh his thirst for revenge against his desire for a mysterious female named Blaspheme—a female whose very origins could deliver him into salvation . . . or destruction.

LIKE AN ANGEL SCORNED

Blaspheme has a deadly secret: she's the forbidden offspring of an angel and a fallen angel. Hunted by both heavenly and satanic forces, she has survived only by laying low and trusting no one. When Revenant claims he can save them both, how can she possibly believe him? But the powerful angel is persistence incarnate and for Blaspheme, there's no place she can hide in Heaven or Hell where he won't find her . .

Review:
Ok, it has been a while since I read this book so some of the details are fuzzy but the feeling of the book remains the same and it was AWESOME! Larissa Ione always weaves a fantastic tale; her world building is so rich and developed. Each book stacks onto the next creating a world so detailed you almost feel like you’re there. I’m a total Ione fan girl! She never disappoints and is one of the masters of the Paranormal Romance genre.

Blaspheme and Revenant meet in Reavers book before Revenant gets his memory book and being the asshole he is Revenant totally insults Blaspheme within 30 seconds but for some reason even then you kick up a corner of your mouth and know that Ione is starting her magic right then. She’s setting the stage for an epic romance and epic it turns out to be. At the end of REAVER, Revenant gets 3000 years of memories back and finds out he has a twin brother in Reaver and this is the beginning of an epic family feud.   REVENANT takes you on a journey through heaven and hell, literally; from the deepest depths of hell, to the heavenly skies. The story is as action packed as previous books with battles raging, backstabbing, reluctant alliances and torture. You definitely won’t get bored with this one.  Blaspheme and Revenant are one of those reluctant alliances; well at least Blaspheme is reluctant. In the beginning she wants nothing to do with Revenant, but it can’t be helped when she is cornered and Revenant saves her life. Blaspheme is posing as a false angel to hide her true identity but her façade is fading and fading fast and now her life is being threatened not just by heavenly angels but by demons from hell as well. Revenant is strong, one of the strongest beings on earth, heaven and hell. Few could best him and he is determined to protect Blaspheme, as he sees that as his way into her pants. Revenant is an ass, from beginning to end he remains true to form but he does soften towards Blaspheme. Blaspheme is a snarky bad ass from beginning to end. She doesn’t take Revenants shit and maybe that is the initial attraction, but soon their relationship deepens despite all the lies and half-truths from both of them. I loved both Blaspheme and Revenant; they have become one of my favorite couples of this series.  Get ready for some twists and turns and a couple of surprises. If you haven’t read this series… what are you waiting for? You need to start, from the beginning of the Demonica series. You wont regret it!

2012 - My Paranormal Favorites

My favorites of 2012!

Ok so I’m not going to do the “Best Of” but my “Favorites Of”, what’s the difference you ask? My favorites my not have received the highest ratings but they have managed to stick out in the over 200 books I’ve read this year. Something about these books stand above the others, whether it be the characters, the plot or just some extra “it” factor.

Sometimes and I hate to admit this and at the time I don’t think I realize I’m doing it, but, I’ll give an established author that may be one of my favorites a lower score because I expect more from them and am comparing the book to their other works. Also maybe a new author to me will get a higher score, because I had lower expectations of the work. Is this fair? Probably not. Am I the only one that does this, even subconsciously??

Ok, so I am not going to rank these books against each other because if you made it this far, they are all number one’s in my mind. So I am only including books that were published in 2012, even if I read them in 2011 with a 2012 release date or read them in 2012 with a 2013 release date. On this blog I am only including Paranormal or Urban Fantasy titles. I’ll do a master list including contemporary and histricals on my other blog “Lets Get Romatical”.

Sealed with a Curse – Cecy Robson (Weird Girls Series) Releases December 31st

Sealed with a Curse (Weird Girls, #1)

This is another debut author this year! This series follows four sisters who are the product of a backfired curse. Each sister had unique powers and totally kicks ass. I like that although there is one POV from the oldest sister we always know what’s going on with the other sister and they each have distinct personalities. This new series is fun and sassy and is sure to keep you entertained!

Grab it on Amazon: Cecy Robson - Sealed With a Curse: A Weird Girls Novel

Shadow’s Claim – Kresley Cole (Immortals After Dark/Dacians Series) Released November 27th

Shadow's Claim (The Dacians: Realm of Blood and Mist, #1)

It’s no secret I am a total fan girl of Kresley Cole’s. I love pretty much everything releases. I like to joke that she could sneeze on a piece of paper and publish it and I’d love it. LOL! This book lived up to my fan girl expectations. It had humor, action and steamy action. Our hero is a total alpha and our heroine finds her inner badass and holds her own by the end.

Grab it on Amazon: Kresley Cole - Shadow's Claim (Immortals After Dark: the Dacians)

Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet – Darynda Jones (Charlie Davidson Series) Released October 30th

Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet (Charley Davidson, #4)

So, I just started reading this series this year and I’m pissed at myself for waiting so long. I love this series and this book is no exception. Charlie is freak’n hilarious and Reyes is one of the best Alpha hero’s on the “Urban Fantasy” genre (Where the series follows the same main characters throughout). Yes I said it! Reyes is mysterious, sexy, and a total alpha! Yummy! Charlie kicks some ass and she’s THE Grim Reaper!

Grab it on Amazon: Darynda Jones - Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet (Charley Davidson Series)

Poison Princess – Kresley Cole (Arcana Chronicles) Released October 1st

Poison Princess (The Arcana Chronicles, #1)

This is KC’s young adult debut and she kicks it off with a bang. Now granted I read next to no YA so really in this genre it could suck, but as an adult that doesn’t read YA it was really good. It was different and refreshing. It’s a post apocalyptic world and our heros are based off of tarot cards. The teenagers are not too annoying with self esteem issues. (SO no Bella Swan here) our main hero is a whiskey drinking, foul mouthed, smart ass not unlike Cade from the IAD series. I do recommend this book to anyone!

Grab it on Amazon: Kresley Cole - Poison Princess (Arcana Chronicles)

Archangel’s Storm – Nalini Singh (Guild Hunters) Released September 4th

Archangel's Storm (Guild Hunter, #5)

Because it’s Jason’s book and its Nalini Singh writing it; need I say more?

Grab it on Amazon: Nalini Singh - Archangel's Storm (Guild Hunter)

Moonglow – Kristen Callihan (Darkest London Series) Released July 31st

Moonglow (Darkest London, #2)

Kristen Callihan was my breakout new author this year. Both Moonglow and Firelight were amazing and are on this list. She writes paranormal historical romance that is unique and refreshing. Moonglow had me crying at two or three different parts and it’s hard to get me crying. Callihan knows how to write a memorable story.

Grab it on Amazon: Kristen Callihan - Moonglow (Darkest London)

Once Burned – Jeaniene Frost (Dark Prince Series) Released June 26th

Once Burned (Night Prince, #1)

This is a spinoff of the Night Huntress, only it’s Vlad’s series! I have adored Vlad ever since we meet him in the Night Huntress series. He is such a smart ass and sexy as hell. He lives up to that in his own book. His heroine is also pretty kick ass and just as much of a smart ass as Vlad is, I loved their interaction with each other, and it was constant laughs and excitement!

Grab it on Amazon: Jeaniene Frost - Once Burned: A Night Prince Novel

Lethal Rider – Larissa Ione (Lords of Deliverance Series) Released May 22nd

Lethal Rider (Lords of Deliverance, #3)

Thantos! You sexy sexy mythical man you! Haha ok for those who may not be familiar with this series it follows the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Thantos is Death and my favorite of the horseman. This book follows in true Ione style and was high action, laughs and steamy as hell. You can’t go wrong with a Larissa Ione book.

Grab it on Amazon: Larissa Ione - Lethal Rider (Lords of Deliverance)

Oracle’s Moon – Thea Harrison (Elder Races Series) Released March 6th

Oracle's Moon (Elder Races, #4)

This was by far one of my favorite books on 2012. I love the Elder Races series and this is one of my favorite books of the series. I loved the Djinn’s and our heroine was feisty and could hold her own! I think I read this book 3 times this year.

Grab it on Amazon: Thea Harrison - Oracle's Moon (A Novel of the Elder Races)

Firelight - Kristen Callihan (Darkest London Series) Releases January 31st

Firelight (Darkest London, #1)

Kristen Callihan was my breakout new author this year. Both Moonglow and Firelight were amazing and are on this list. She writes paranormal historical romance that is unique and refreshing. Our hero and heroine were touching and the story was both intriguing and exciting. It was definitely a unique take on paranormal!

Grab it on Amazon: Kristen Callihan - Firelight (Darkest London)

A Demon Does it Better – Linda Wisdom (Demons Series) Released January 1st

A Demon Does It Better (Demons #2)

I totally forgot this book released in 2012! I read it what seems like so long ago and I still remember this book! It is one of my favorites. It has witches, demons, spells and hexes! Linda Wisdom also has such a great sense of humor. This one sticks out in my memory because of the characters. I loved Lily and Jared. This one is a bit different than a lot of healer stories in that is involves mental illness rather than physical illness. This is not usually the case.

ARC Review: Larissa Ione – Rogue Rider

Lords of Deliverance:

Book 4:

Rogue Rider: Reseph and Jillian Cardiff

Rogue Rider (Lords of Deliverance, #4)

Release Date: November 20th, 2012

Purchase on Amazon: Larissa Ione - Rogue Rider (Lords of Deliverance)

Summary:
From Goodreads.com
Jillian Cardiff came to this remote mountain town to forget the demon attack that almost killed her. Instead, she rescues-and falls for-a gorgeous stranger who has no memory of anything other than his name. Handsome, charming, and protective, Reseph seems like the kind of man whom Jillian can trust. But with hints of a troubling history of his own, he's also the kind of man who can be very dangerous . . .

Reseph may not know why he mysteriously appeared in Jillian's life, but he knows he wants to stay. Yet when Jillian's neighbors are killed, and demon hunters arrive on the scene, Reseph fears that he's putting Jillian in danger. And once it's revealed that Reseph is also Pestilence, the Horseman responsible for ravaging the world, he and Jillian must face the greatest challenge of all: Can they forget the horrors of a chilling past to save the future they both desire?

Review:
This is the exciting conclusion to the Lords of Deliverance series. Reseph for the last year has been Pestilence, basically one of the most evil beings on the planet in all realms. When this books starts it is 3 months after Pestilence was stabbed through the heart with Deliverance by Thantos. Reseph ends up in Shoal with all of his memories intact. Reaver, goes down to Shoal, wipes Resephs memories and sends him to Colorado in the middle of a snow storm.

Reseph wakes in a strange bed with a beautiful woman looming over him. He has no memories, he thinks his name is Reseph but nothing else comes to mind. He might not remember anything but he does remember that he enjoys a beautiful woman and he is pretty sure Jillian is the most beautiful creature he has ever seen. Reseph is absolutely shameless when it comes to his pursuit of Jillian, it is quite amusing. Despite yourself you are smiling at Resephs antics. I really really did not want to like Reseph, you spent the last three books loathing him as Pestilence. Millions are dead because of Pestilence, he spent an entire year torturing, killing, maiming and doing everything in his power to bring about the Apocalypse. I knew Larissa Ione has her work cut out for her in redeeming Reseph in the readers eye, I never should have doubted Ms. Ione and her abilities to turn around your opinion of Reseph. By wiping his memory it gives Reseph and the reader to start fresh, with a clean slate. You are discovering Reseph as he is discovering himself. Ione is smart, she doesn’t make Reseph perfect, he still has his dark parts, some lingering issues from the past that have followed him into the present even without his memories. I think if she had wiped him too clean, to perfect we wouldn’t be able to truly believe his transformation back into Reseph. While Reseph is recovering he senses that he has not been a good man in the past, it is a feeling that keeps surfacing. He can sense he is not good enough for Jillian but the more time he spends with her the more he knows he is not going to let her go and starts hoping that he never gets his memories back. As this new man he can deserve Jillian, he can become what she needs. The more he tries to ignore what he was, the more is comes back to haunt him. It becomes clear that Jillians house is being watched and he senses demons nearby, what he wants and needs to know, is why?

Jillian is broken, after a demon attack a year ago she has been hiding away in her family home in Colorado. Her parents had left her the ranch when they died right around the same time of her attack. When Jillian finds the gorgeous stranger in the snow she is shocked he is not dead or suffering from hyperthermia. After he wakes, she knows she is in trouble. Any man she is attracted to is suspect; she knows she has the worst taste in men, so if she’s interested in him then he must be bad. Despite her reservations when it comes to trusting Reseph, he starts worming his way through his heart. He is funny, caring, and helps around the house. His fierce protective streak instead of scaring her, ends up making her feel safer then she has since the attack. She starts leaning on his strength and that scares her more than anything. She doesn’t want to depend on a man, she can only trust herself. I think of all the horseman’s mates I think it is possibly Jillian I like the most. There is just something about her strength and her warrior instincts that pulls you in. Because of her tragic past she is stronger and has a steel core, but she never loses her compassion towards others. Its that combination of strength and compassion that make Jillian such a strong likeable character that grabs the readers heart as well as Resephs. By the end of the book Jillian’s strength is truly tested to its very limits.

As with all Larissa Ione books the story line is face paced and a thrill ride. She does not pull her punches both on an action level as well as on the steamy side. Ione is not afraid to go places with her stories that other authors may shy away from. Her books can be violent, but not in a way that makes you uncomfortable; at least I have never felt uncomfortable reading one of her books even if the subject matter may not be light and fluffy. There is also a sensual side to an Ione novel, this book is no different. The scenes between Jillian and Reseph steam up the pages and can be truly creative. *wink wink* In this one even though Reseph has forgotten everything and is basically on his own with Jillian, no worries, we still get to see the other horseman and Reaver plays a big role in this book. There are a few jaw droppers when it comes to the Reaver plot line and it builds the excitement for Reavers book, whenever it may come out.

By the end of this book Reseph may not be fully redeemed but he is on his way. Also by the end of this book you will have been taken through the ringer from the intense emotion, action and smexy side. You will also have something to look forward to, a possible Reaver/Harvester paring? We will see!

A Look Back: 2012 So Far

So I was recently asked to do a post of my top books that have been released so far.  I totally should have don’t this in the beginning of July, but alas, July has come and gone. So this is going to be the” hey we are ¾ of the way through the year” pulse check on 2012 releases! LOL

This year has seen sooo many great releases from great authors new and well established.  The following list is my opinion on the books that I have enjoyed most this year so far.  I’m not going to limit the list to paranormal but include all genres in this post I have read, I will separate the non-paranormal into its own list. Admittedly I don’t venture that much outside of Paranormal, but if something catches my eye, I’ll read and post a review on my other blog www.goodromancenovel.blogspot.com .

Top 10 full length Paranormal:

1. Oracle’s Moon – Thea Harrison (This one is #1, because I have read it 4x already! I LOVED it that much!)
Get It: Thea Harrison: Oracle's Moon

2. Once Burned – Jeaniene Frost (This one is sooo close to #1, the only reason I put it as 2nd was bc I haven’t reread it… yet. But I am dying to!)
Get It: Jeaniene Frost: Once Burned: A Night Prince Novel

From here is becomes so hard to rank in a specific order, so this part of the list is somewhat fluid:

3. Firelight – Kristen Callihan (Callihan is a newcomer and she started with a bang! This is the first in her historical paranormal romance. This series is totally unique!)
Get It: Kristen Callihan: Firelight (Darkest London)

4. Lothaire – Kresley Cole (Usually KC would hold down my top spot, but Lothaire was not my favorite of the series but it is still among the best of the year so far.
Get It: Kresley Cole: Lothaire (Immortals After Dark)

5. Moonglow – Kristen Callihan (This is the 2nd in her series and I loved it just as much as the 1st and damn did I cry in this one!)
Get It: Kristen Callihan - Moonglow (Darkest London)

6. Lethal Rider – Larissa Ione (Really 3-6 can all occupy the same place as I love them pretty much equally. This is the 3rd of L. Ione’s Lords of Deliverance series and features my man Thantos! I want him!)
Get It: Larissa Ione: Lethal Rider (Lords of Deliverance)

7. Third Grave Dead Ahead – Darynda Jones (I just picked up this series a month or so ago and am kicking myself for not picking it up sooner. This is the 3rd in the series and had me laughing from beginning to end. If you haven’t picked up this series you need to right away.)
Get It: Darynda Jones: Third Grave Dead Ahead

8. Tangle of Need – Nalini Singh (I am not used to N. Singh being this low on a tops list. Her work is always rock solid and among my favorites.  This book was fantastic but I felt it was more of a transition book to get us to the next book.  She does have a release out in Sept (Jason from the Guild Hunters that has the potential to rank #1 on the end of the year list. I cannot wait for it to come out!)
Get It: Nalini Singh: Tangle of Need

9. The Darkest Day – Britt Bury (This is another newcomer to the scene with her debut book. I gave this one a 4 star because of some issues, but it is on the list because I still think back to this book after several months so it has managed to stick out from the crowd.)
Get It: Britt Bury: The Darkest Day

10. Blade Song – J.C. Daniels (Technically this is not a newcomer as this is Shiloh Walker under a new pen name, but this is her 1st book under this name. There is another unique book in the paranormal genre. It features a strong female lead and has the ability to stick out in memory much like The Darkest Day)
Get It: J.C. Daniels: Blade Song (Colbana Files)

Top 5 Contemporary and Historical:

1. Rescue Me – Rachel Gibson (Contemporary Romance. I adore Rachel Gibson, she can always make me laugh and this book is no exception)
Get It: Rachel Gibson: Rescue Me

2. Summer Nights – Susan Mallery (Contemporary Romance.  This is Shane’s story from the Fool’s Gold series. He is the 2nd Styker brother and his story is the best! He’s a cowboy with a gentle wounded soul, his lady love is also quite lovable!)
Get It: Susan Mallery: Summer Nights (Fool's Gold)

3. Temptation & Twilight – Charlotte Featherstone (Erotic Historical Romance, this is the 3rd in a series but I hadn’t read the 1st 2 when I started this one. It didn’t matter, I still think of this book months later and I have since gone back and read the first 2 books which are equally good!)
Get It: C. Featherstone: Temptation & Twilight (Hqn)

4. Tempted by the Highland Warrior – Michelle Willingham (Historical Romance possibly erotica, its steamy enough to be. I have a weakness for tortured hero types and this one is tortured and disabled. Due to the horrors he experienced he can no longer talk. Even better that he is a highlander! Who can resist a tortured highland warrior? I know I can’t!)
Get It: Michelle Willingham: Tempted by the Highland Warrior (The MacKinloch Clan)

5. Seven Nights in a Rogue's Bed – Anna Campbell (Historical Romance . Here’s another tortured hero type that must overcome. This one has also managed to stick out in my memory as a great read. I wouldn’t even have picked it up from NetGalley if it hadn’t been for Jen from Red Hot Books. Thanks Jen for the rec!)
Get It: Anna Campbell: Seven Nights in a Rogue's Bed (Sons of Sin)

Top 5 novellas:

1. Angels Flight – Nalini Singh (I call N. Singh the queen of novellas because she can take 20-30 pages and gets so much into so few pages it almost feels like a full length novel! This book is a collection of 4 Guild Hunter novellas each one is amazing on its own, but together it’s unbeatable!)
Get It: Nalini Singh: Angels' Flight (Guild Hunters)

2. Try Me – Olivia Cunning (OoooWwwEeee this one is CALIENTE! It’s the first in her new band series. Soo freak’n good)
Get It: Olivia Cunning: Try Me (One Night with Sole Regret)

3. Unspoken – Kerrigan Byrne (Kerrigan Byrne is another newcomer to the scene; she has two paranormal historical novellas out. It features a berserker a mute one at that! This one was so damn good. I wish it had been longer. )
Get It: Kerrigan Byrne: Unspoken (Highland Historical #1)

4. Crazy on You – Rachel Gibson ( I adore Rachel Gibson! She doesn’t typically write novellas, this is the 1st one in years and years and it was a great one. It features crazy Lily that we met in Daisy’s Back in Town)
Get It: Rachel Gibson: Crazy On You

5. Dark Craving – Donna Grant (I found this one because of Annie from Under the Covers Book Blog and I am glad she suggested it. It’s a dragon book! She’s got me on her dragon kick! Damn you Annie! Dragons aside it’s a great quick story that will leaving you wanting more.)
Get It: Donna Grant: Dark Craving
